Qi charging is an inductive power transfer between a charging device and another such as a Qi compatible smartphone. The DashCharge wireless vent mount is plugged into your car's cigarette lighter socket and the phone is placed directly against the Qi charging surface. No phone cables, just simple charging on contact.
The DashCharge wireless vent mount has a built-in electromagnetic coil and the Qi compatible phone has a receiver coil. The wireless charging mount will activate when a Qi compatible phone is placed against the surface. It then induces a current in the smartphone receiver coil and enables the phone to start charging wirelessly.
